MM: Tell us, how did you get started in the fashion industry?

LL: My mom submitted my photos to agencies. Shortly after that, I did photo shoots in both NYC and LA.

MM: What are some of your hobbies?

LL: In my spare time, I like to swim, play with friends and family, and read about horses. I also do competition cheerleading. This summer I’m helping to save monarch butterflies! I have one that’s a caterpillar, but it’s growing so fast, and when it turns into a butterfly, we’ll let it go. Hopefully it’s able to migrate to Mexico to be with all the other monarchs.

MM: What is it like being on location and traveling, is this something you enjoy?

LL: Yes! I love it. It’s hard work, but so fun because I get to wear awesome clothes and work with really creative people. I love the traveling because I’m able to see the world and experience different cultures.

MM: What do you want to be when you grow up?

LL: I want to be a supermodel because they’re the best of the best, and get to do it all. They work with the most famous designers and photographers, and walk the most exciting runways. They work really hard and have to be good role models, too. And they get to travel all over the world…kind of like me now!

MM: Do you have any curiosity about photography, or is it more about fashion?

LL: I love to learn anything new, so I would love to learn more about photography. I would love to photograph horses. I really love fashion the most, though, because I love seeing all the different styles and designs that are so creative.

MM: What is the most exciting place you have ever been?

LL: The most exciting place I’ve ever been is Turks and Caicos. It was out of the United States, so I used my passport for the first time. It has the most crystal blue water, and I love the ocean. I wish I could be a mermaid. The most exciting parts were snorkeling with my mom, and when I saw a shark swimming in the water behind me. I want to shoot underwater someday! That would be a dream come true.

MM: Any advice for young girls who aspire to model?

LL: If at first you don’t succeed, try try again! It’s a lot of hard work. The photo shoots are so fun, but you have to remember that a model’s job is to get the perfect shot. Keep learning, keep trying, and believe in yourself!

MM: Do you have pets? What is your favorite animal?

LL: I have two bulldogs and two hermit crabs…and one caterpillar that is soon to be a monarch. My favorite animal is a horse, of course!

MM: Where do you see yourself as a teenager?

LL: Almost anywhere! I’ll probably be in high school and traveling the world modeling…and hopefully I can bring my bulldog.

MM: We hear you will be 10, the BIG double digits!!! Any fun plans for your birthday celebration?

LL: Yes! I’m excited to turn 10 years old. I suppose the celebration will depend on whether we’re traveling. Maybe my mom will throw me a surprise party!

MM: Any interest in acting, being on the big screen?

LL: Of course! I love being in front of any camera. I would love to be like Emma Watson. She’s my favorite actress. She started acting young and is so talented.
