Pair of Thieves x Cash Warren

Infused with creativity and innovation, Co-Founder Cash Warren teamed up with David Ehrenberg and Alan Stuart to build an incredible brand from the ground up, giving us the one and only Pair of Thieves! From men’s basics to Daddy + Kid sets, each item is made from high quality materials and well designed to give Dads, and their minis, a fun and unique sense of style. KYMBERLY MARCIANO: What inspired the name of your brand?

CASH WARREN: Well, socks come in a pair and one of them always goes missing…who steals that sock?  Pair of Thieves.

KM: How did you come up with the idea and model to build the Pair of Thieves brand?

CW: We love the Men’s basics category.  The category had been stale for so long and we thought it needed an infusion of creativity and innovation.  Underwear and socks are the foundation of your daily look and if you’re sporting the wrong ones your entire day is jacked.


KM: Tell us about your Dad + Kids Sets!

CW: David, Alan and I are all dads and we were jealous of our wives getting all the fun things to do with our kids.  We wanted to make something awesome for us and our kids…Dad+Kid sets were like the gift to ourselves.

KM: Your socks are very high quality and well designed. How long did it take you and your team to build a brand identity and come up with the designs that you were proud of?

CW: Thank You!  It took us close to two years to hone in on the branding and product.  Our designs are seasonal so we update the collection 4x per year…fun times

KM: What is your favorite design so far?

CW: “Hey Babe” … bc my wife helped design it.

KM: Tell us about Sneaky Performance!

CW: Everything we create is built on a performance base with cool designs layered on top. We hide the performance attributes behind all this other rad stuff.  But that performance foundation is the reason our socks are the most comfortable on the planet!


KM: Your socks are sold online and in Target stores. How did you build your relationship with Target? Where else can we find your brand to shop? Nationwide?

CW: My partner, David Ehrenberg, had a relationship with Target from his previous life and was able to get our brand in front of them.  Lucky us 🙂  Today we are only sold on & at any Target store nationwide as well as … We are expanding to additional retailers later this year so will report back once they’re confirmed.

KM: Do you have any plans for a brick + mortar in the future?

CW: Not our own brick + mortar stores … wouldn’t know where to begin.  We are in the process of re-doing to enhance the experience and make shopping for socks more enjoyable than…


KM: Any lessons for other entrepreneurs on, say, sourcing materials? Finding a factory? Fulfillment, etc.?

CW: It’s not easy so don’t expect to figure it out right away.  Be patient.  Seek out advice or partners that have experiences that compliment your own.  I am never afraid to ask questions or make mistakes…it’s the only way to learn.

KM: What’s next for Pair of Thieves?

CW: We think there’s a lot of room to expand inside of the basics category.  We’d love to look up in a couple years and have our flags planted across every silhouette and product offering in basics.

CW: Mulatto.  I’m mixed so my crayon should be as well

CW: Saturday morning cartoons

CW: People who live life without a safety net.
